GOBBLE! GOBBLE!

I really wanted to do a Thanksgiving craft with my baby and her play group, but they are still a little young for craft projects. The solution? Turkey hand print cards! These turned out great and were very quick and easy to do with babies. This is such a classic project that I think babies and kids of all ages would enjoy it.

To make the turkey, paint your baby's fingers each a different color. Here I did yellow, orange, red, and green. Then paint their palm and thumb brown. Open their little hand up and stamp it onto the front of a card. It helped some of the babies to say "hi" because then they would automatically open their hand to wave. After you have your little one's hand print, then you paint the turkey's red gobbler and orange beak. Use a skinny brown marker to add some little turkey feet and glue a little eye on. Once the front is all dry write your baby's name and year on the back and drop them in the mail to Grandma and Grandpa!

I LOVE this craft project! I think I may see if some of my mommy friends want to make these for our babies. Check it out here on one of my favorite blogs.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

I made my baby girl a peacock costume for her first Halloween! Here's how it turned out.

To make the "plume" I made half of a tutu. I then made peacock feathers out of felt pieces and hung them from the half tutu. I made her a headpiece out of a headband, felt feathers, pipe cleaners, and tulle.

TEETHING BLING!

My friend Jenny told me about these great necklaces that double as a teething ring for baby. It's exactly the kind of idea that I am always hoping I will come up with, so smart! All babies LOVE to grab and put their mom's necklaces in their mouths, now it can be done safely. Check out Teething Bling here.

GLOWORM

I was shopping at Target today and stopped when I saw the Playskool Gloworms! I remember having one when I was little so of course I HAD to get one for my baby! They are $9.99 at Target and there's a Gloworm Boy and Gloworm Girl. I know, they look a little silly but they light up and play lullabies. I loved my Gloworm so I already am trying to make it a lovey for my baby.

IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

What makes this nursery so sweet is all the special touches. The room was inspired by the couple's favorite Bob Marley song, "3 Little Birds" and I think it's just adorable. The quiet simplicity allows all the little details to pop out and really be noticed. The dress and shoes hanging are the mom's from when she was a baby! Too cute! Read more about this sweet little room here and the custom artwork was done by Casey Kelbee Interiors.

LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME...

My life has officially changed over the past few weeks. My baby started the scoot and crawl about a month ago and since then has officially mastered crawling, pulling up, and cruising all the furniture. Long gone are the days of sitting at my laptop while I watch my baby play in the same spot with the occasional roll over. Now I am lucky if I get to even check my email let alone actually DO anything on the computer! So I have to apologize for my lack of regular posts but I think I am finally getting the hang of this new lifestyle and learning to work around watching her every move. I promise to get Baby Love posts going strong again and I have LOTS of new stuff to talk about! Be sure to continue to check back for new great baby things!

TOTALLY AWESOME CEILING

This ceiling is SO much fun that I had to feature it! I think any baby would LOVE to look up at this! Such creativity! This is another one from HGTV's Rate My Space and you must go here to read about how this mom did it. Believe or not she was a thrifty mom and did it all on a budget.

THE OBSESSION WITH KEYS!

It's no secret that ALL babies want their parent's keys. Parent's Toys has finally given us a toy version made of real metal. The remote control lights up and plays sounds just like Mom and Dad's. This is a truly fabulous find and it will keep the drool off of your car's remote control. Get a set here.
